Many people considering having a website have the same concerns - we have tried to answer most of the common questions below - please contact us if you have anymore queries.

What do you need from me?

A website is really quite simple, its best to see it simply as a small book or leaflet, with pages that you write. The number of pages depends on what you want the site for. All we need is the text from you for each page, any pictures you want & any files you may want to put on the site (like newsletters, offers, documents etc.) We can help with all of this but the text needs to come from you - no one knows more about what you want! The files & text are best emailed to us so we have it in electronic form - don't worry if you don't have any word processing software, all pc's have the 'notepad' function - this is fine to use for typing out the text for each page & emailing to us (or saved & put onto cd etc.)

How do I get the website onto the internet?

Don't worry - we will sort that for you. This is called 'hosting.' It simply means your website pages are put onto a public web server so everyone can see it when they type in your website name. The cost of this is seperate to your website design done by us but is very, very cheap - probably the cheapest form of advertising available. Prices vary depending on website size, but at present we are able to get your website hosted for one year for only £40 including website name & email addresses - at the end of the year the hosting is just renewed. We will arrange all of this for you.

What do I pay & when?

We won't ask for a penny until the site is fully done & approved by you. The site will be built & available for you to view from home but won't be uploaded properly until you have confirmed all is ok with it. At that point we will ask for payment in full before the site is uploaded.

What website name can I have?

There are many options - from .com's to .biz's etc - just let us know what you want & we will see if we can get that name for you.

Can I amend the site in the future?

Yes, either pay £10 per amendment or pay £20 monthly by standing order for up to 4 amendments per month.

Will I have a proper email address?

Yes, your email address will have your website name in it like ours - contact@topdogtrades.com - obviously the 'contact' prefix can be changed to what you want. Also, you will have many email addresses available for each site in case you have more than one person/department that needs to access emails.
